Student Support Services
Guidance Department
Mrs. D’Entremont is our guidance counselor. She shares time with the Biddeford Intermediate School. Mrs. D'Entremont meets with students individually and provides guidance instruction in the classroom. Services are available to all students who are referred by parents, teachers, and administration. Mrs. D’Entremont is also available for parent consultation. Guidance intervention will provide each student with skills to enhance student learning.
Social Work Services
Social work services are provided by Mr. Bryan Litchfield. We share him also with our Intermediate School. Students are the primary focus of the educational process, and are viewed by the social worker in relation to the family, the school, the neighborhood, and the larger community. Students receive direct intervention to strengthen emotional/social skills. Referrals are received through parents, teachers, administration, school nurse and guidance.
Health Services
Mrs. Bobbi-Jo St. Peter is the Kindergarten’s Center’s nurse and is located in the front office area. Our full-time nurse provides a comprehensive school health program through health services, health counseling and education. She also conducts periodic screenings and is the first stop for a band-aid or other first aid services. If changes are made regarding your child’s health record, please call our office for information regarding the appropriate procedure to be followed.
Medication Policy
Medication can be administered to children at school when necessary. Medication forms can be obtained at the nurse’s office. All medications must come in the original container. Students will not be allowed to keep medications in the classroom, carry medication to school or transport medicine on the school bus. All medication is kept safely out of reach of students in the nurse’s office and administered by an adult at the prescribed time.
