INTRODUCTION TO MEDICAL SCIENCES

This couse provides an introductory core curriculum designed to prepare students for further schooling in any of the major health occupations at the technical or professional levels, uch as a physician, nursing, medical technologist, radiological technician, physical therapist, pharacist, operating room technician, veterinarian, athletic trainer, respiratory therapist, dietitian, and others.

A strong science course in the classroom is combined with 60 clinical hours of communityexperience with health professionals in various settings. CNA certification is also available. The scope of the program curriculum allows students to study at a college preparatory level, as well as provide employment skills training. Students are awarded 2 science credits in anatomy and physiolody and 2 credits for Intro to Medical Science.
