COOPERATIVE EDUCATION


Cooperative Education is an organized instructional program designed to prepare individuals to succeed in the world of work. The program allows students to receive practical training in areas personal interest (provided a training station is available) and supplement that with world of work instruction. These work-training activities are a part of the regular education schedule. The training station becomes a laboratory where occupational competency and consequently, "employability" is developed"

Instructor:  Mr. LaBranche

Candidates for the Program

  • Student has the necessary basic skills and knowledge required of the occupation
  • Becomes a paid, part-time employee at a local business, learning the occupation through a structured, hands on approach
  • Students must be at least 16 years of age, and must be available and able to work
