Kelso Student of the Month

BPS knows that making good choices is to be celebrated. So once a month, each homeroom teacher nominates a student who has consistently made good choices and deserves the title: Student of the Month. This is an important honor at our school. Each child has his/her picture taken with Kelso, our good choice frog. All nominee pictures are posted on a bulletin board in our school cafeteria for the next month, their names are provided to local media for publication, they even receive a Kelso T-Shirt and certificate to take home. At the end of the year final school assembly, all Kelso Good Choice nominees from that school year are honored with a special award presentation. It's common for students to see how many times they can be selected throughout their years at BPS because this is an award that really makes children feel good about themselves.
