Lunchroom Helpers

At BPS, we believe that our job is to teach more than just academics. We are also here to help students learn valuable life skills, such as responsibility and dependability. The Lunchroom Helpers program provides an opportunity for the upper grade level students to have a "job" cleaning up the cafeteria (using plastic gloves for safety) and earning a "payday" (a pick from the assistant principal's prize box). Every week, two 3rd grade students' names are selected to serve as Lunchroom Helpers. These individuals are allowed to go to the front of their lunch lines so they can eat first in order to have the time to do their job, prior to going out to recess. How gratifying to see BPS "citizens" come to the office for "payday" beaming with pride at a job well done!
